Thanks so much for posting this! All I wanted to do was develop with the Facebook Connect library and before I knew it, I was going down some deep rabbit hole, having to download the right version of XCode (I hadn’t upgraded it since upgrading from Tiger to Leopard), and then updating my Port install before being able to rebuild curl with SSL..just so I could log in. :D

Scott’s solution (uninstall git-core, uninstall curl, reinstall curl with ssh, then reinstall git-core) worked fine for me also.

But I could have tried deactivating instead of uninstalling for git-core (should have read until the end :-P ).

Anyway, this one really helped me, git is working fine and curl now “speaks” https. Thank you guys!
